Even though Christmas, and even New years has passed I have yet to get a Wii. This is tragic.

Also tragic was the Opera "La Boheme" which I saw shortly before Matt's party, and it was an intensely interesting experience. For those of you who were born last century or more recently it is an opera about 4 bohemians living in Paris, two of whom fall in love and the other two provide light comic relief. The musical rent (and later lease) was based on it. The production was very good. The sets were really really good, having a lot of useable material and very little clutter and use the props the singers (Actors? They were really both. I am sure there is a name for them) did. One scene was particularly good as some of them danced around with a bright red beanbag and pretended it was a woman. Or something. I really couldn't tell because I can neither speak nor sing italian and the subtitles were occluded by the mezzanine on our particular seats. Oh and it is tragic because the main chick dies. Morgan says it was syphillis but my mum says it was tuberculosis. I demand that they fight. Winner takes all.

Matts party was excellent as usual, even though I was only there for a short time.

Having a car was much more fun than anticipated. Over the past couple of days I have been what can only be described as "Refitting" it. I didn't actually replace any solid components but the "before" and "After" pictures are sufficiently different to warrant the term, as they are dissimilar not only by appearance but also by base substance. I have alchemically transmuted my 21 year old granny wagon into something resembling a car.

This mostly involved getting a whole lot of stuff out of the boot, vacuuming with epic movements and putting some coolant in the cooling system, which it apparently had lacked for a while. Disturbing.

For my next trick I will develop a bold new console game that shares a name with this post. It will be classically heroic.

And for those who track my movements like a mouse in a maze I will be heading to Wollongong for a couple of days in said former granny wagon. Au revoir!
